Full Zirconia Arches
A full zirconia arch is a fixed dental implant restoration designed to replace an entire row of missing teeth. The zirconia bridge is supported by implants and remains in place during daily eating, speaking, and cleaning.
The number and position of implants are selected for the patient’s anatomy and restorative plan. Bone grafting may or may not be part of treatment, depending on the available bone and the needs of the planned restoration.
At Dental Specialty of Houston, planning begins with an evaluation and may include imaging selected for the proposed treatment. The team considers the surgical, restorative, and maintenance phases before recommending a full-arch design.
Benefits of Full Zirconia Arches
- Fixed in place and removed only by a dental professional
- Supported by implants selected for the individual treatment plan
- Zirconia is a strong material used for the visible restoration
- Designed around bite, appearance, cleaning, and maintenance needs
- May offer added stability compared with a conventional denture
- Requires daily home care and regular professional follow-up
A fixed zirconia arch may be considered for patients who have lost most or all teeth in an arch or who want to compare fixed treatment with removable implant dentures. An examination is needed to determine whether it is an appropriate option.
